Registry

OK here is the low down on wedding gifts. WE DON'T WANT ANY- well, at least not in the traditional sense.

Nic and I are pretty squared away when it comes to house hold possessions. In fact, we don't have space for all the stuff we have now. What we don't have are kids... but that won't be forever. Before that happens I
(Julie) would like to experience Europe, so that is what is going to happen for our honeymoon.

We signed up for a thing called "Honeyfund". It's a website that breaks down the things we want to do on our honeymoon into affordable 'shares' and you get to pick which things you would like to invest in. Our registry page can be found at www.honeyfund.com/wedding/kuetemeyer

Hotels!

We DO NOT have a block of rooms at any hotels in the area for the wedding. The prices being offered were higher than what can be reserved as an "early bird" pre-paid, AAA, or military rate.

Please book your hotel room(s) early. The weekend of September 21, 2013 has a home OSU game (vs Florida A&M..  not a big game, but OSU fans are crazy) and the Mid-Ohio Comic Con.

Booking Downtown:
There are plenty of hotels downtown, all of them you have to pay for parking. Over the summer there are a bunch of things going on in the area- Bicentennial Park, Columbus Commons, COSI, Mid-Ohio Comic Con., and sites to see- German Village, Short North, Columbus Art Museum (free on Sundays). There are a bunch of fun places to eat. Nic and Julie's favorites include: Dirty Franks (on 4th) and Olde Mohawk Restaurant (on Mohawk)

Booking in Polaris Area:
If you book in this area, the venue is 20 minutes away. If needed, you are able to leave your car at the venue over night and take a taxi back to your hotel. Polaris is a shopping mecca. Polaris is also a short drive away from the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Also, Julie and Nic live in this area.

Booking in the Easton Area:
Easton is just under 20 minutes away from the venue. Once again, a shopping mecca (Columbus is full of them).

You can book wherever you want. If you have any questions, just leave a comment below, email Nic or Julie, or give us a call.

The Ring

Nic took his Great Grandma Kuetemeyer's ring and Busha Kowalski's ring into a small jeweler in Powell, Ohio and asked  the jeweler to make a ring that joined two family histories into one future.

OK so, he probably didn't word it much like that, but that's essentially how it went down.

The main diamond is from Julie's Busha's ring, the diamond on the side of the main setting is from Great Gradma Kuetemeyer's.
